C’est son tout premier concert en France, en dehors de sa tournée américaine. C’est après la sortie de son premier album, marqué par mélancolie et présence brute. True American rock’n’roll underground with a luxury French touch.
 
Originaire de Manhattan, Grace porte l’âme du rock underground new-yorkais : des textes sombres et ciselés, une présence brute, une voix qu’on n’oublie pas. Signée sur Casa Gogol, elle a partagé la scène avec Gogol Bordello, Jim Jarmusch, Thurston Moore ou encore Shilpa Ray.

Grace Bergere grew up in NYC’s Downtown Manhattan. Her heavy atmospheric sound only adds to the impact of her carefully crafted, lyric driven songwriting. Her themes are often dark and personal leading to comparisons to artists such as Elliott Smith and P.J. Harvey. Her debut album A Little Blood was released on Eugene Hutz’s (Gogol Bordello) Casa Gogol Records last year. (Vinyl available on her website.) Casa Gogol also recently released Grace’s cover of All Tomorrow's Parties featuring Sonic Youth’s Thurston Moore. She has played on bills alongside Gogol Bordello, Jim Jarmusch and Jozef Van Wissem, Shilpa Ray, Jon Spencer and Kaizers Orchestra among others. She will be touring the west coast for the second time in late July supporting Gogol Bordello as well as opening for the Yeah Yeah Yeahs at the beacon theater on July 30th. She is currently recording more music to be released later in the year.

This will be her very first concert in France, outside of her U.S. tour. Following the release of her debut album — marked by melancholy and raw presence — she’s offering us a moment of intimacy and intensity.
